The Vision:
My name is Raed Salti, and in 2000, I had a vision to create a web site dedicated to the history of the Salti family. My goal is to create a record of the lives of my relatives, the decendants of Hanah, a merchant born in Jerusalem in 1602, with stories, pictures, audio, and video.
In addition to a family record, I want the web site to be a place for family members to communicate and grow closer. Spread from Houston to Jerusalem and all places East and West, the web site will provide places for family members to talk to each other, inform others about family events and celebrations with the aid of forums, email, live chat, calendar of events, and more.
The web site is now becoming reality: With the aid of a friend, the site is being set up and will be available soon. But, I need your help. I need information about your family, information about our distant relatives, stories, pictures, and anything else you would like to share.
There is a family tree available for you to see, and we will update this as we receive details.
To get us started, I've set up a contact form where you can fill in details, or if you prefer, a Fax number where you can send the information. Once we've entered the information into the web site, it will be available for all our family to see and to share.
